SGIPS is a co education school which offers classes from Nursery to Grade X and follows the CBSE stream of study.
The School has a high quality, scientifically designed curriculum that caters to needs of the 21st century learner. The aim of this curriculum is to develop knowledgeable, active, lifelong learners. The curriculum has been designed to serve as specific milestones, for the growing years of the student. Each milestone celebrates the progress of the student as a learner.
Assessments and evaluation tools with an effective grading system ensures that the scholastic requirements at each level are met with and prior learning is in consensus with the future learning of the learner. The school does not put pressure of examinations on the young minds. Day to day progress is the criteria for assessing the performance of the child. The school offers Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and feedback is provided regularly to the parents.
Use of DigiClass, in every classroom helps in better understanding and retention of concepts. Projects, Presentations Seminars and Spoken English form a part of the learning network of the learners’ profile. The ongoing assessment is documented in the portfolio and is the most positive, dynamic form of evaluation used in education today. This method of evaluation celebrates and documents what the learner can do. The facilitator and the learner become a collaborative team in the evaluation process. Together they explore, document and reflect on the progress made by each learner. The learners’ ownership of the process is highly valued. Thus making them future ready.
The School offers a blend of the Kindergarten, Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia approach. The curriculum caters to the child’s emotional life and artistic expression which is encouraged through a wide variety of performing and visual arts
The curriculum addresses the needs of a learner in Milestone I through the following offerings:
- Development of basic skills through creative play and social interaction
- Appropriate teaching methods and academic learning
- Learning to communicate, play and interact with others
- Work with various materials and activities
- Learn languages, mathematics, science and computers apart from music, art and dance
- Develop friends and understand the idea of friendship
- Phonics and a graded reading programme
- Circle Time An activity which promotes feeling of unity, equality and a sense of belonging among students and is conducted by seating the entire class in a circle
- Star of the Week – Every week a student is selected to be the “Star of the Week”; gets to wear the “Star” for the week and has his/her parents coming over to the school. This helps to build a strong home school partnership.
The Primary School Programme comprises Grades I to IV. The teaching and learning methodology is interdisciplinary; the motto behind this is to ensure maximum growth of each learner.
The curriculum addresses the needs of a learner in Milestone 2 through the following offerings:
- Special focus on Math and Science subjects for a strong foundation in the basics.
- Use of DigiClass, a multimedia based interactive teaching tool.
- A special fitness programme to promote health and excellence in sports.
- Clubs and forums planned and structured for overall learning and development.
- Circle Time – An activity which promotes feeling of unity, equality and a sense of belonging among students and is conducted by seating the entire class in a circle.

The Middle School comprises grades V to VII and is a transitional stage for the learner. Learning from this level onwards is not only interdisciplinary in its approach but also focuses on exploration and journal based learning.

The Secondary School comprises Grades VIII to X and is a preparatory stage for the CBSE senior secondary level learning. Importance is stressed on independent learning and developing these skills in the learner, apart from emphasis on project based learning.
The curriculum addresses the needs of a learner in Milestone 4 through the following offerings:
- Worksheets for practical learning and better understanding of complex concepts.
- Use of DigiClass in every classroom for better understanding and retention of concepts.
- Personalised English Language Enhancement Tool – An easy to use interactive, writing and grammar digital coach that gives students individualized feedback and ensures they learn the skills needed to enhance written expression.
- Clubs and forums planned and structured for overall learning and development.
Our Playgroup provides a safe, fun and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to play together and also learn from other in the process. We have plenty of room for them to play around with toys, appropriate to learning.
Children are also encouraged to take part in activities such as Making Crafts, Origami, Story Telling and puppetry to kindle the spark of imagination in them.
Day Care facilities are also available for children of all age groups from 9am-5pm.
